Hi!
I’m Caroline, since October 2016 a doctor in astrophysics. While working on my PhD thesis, I discovered I actually enjoyed designing documents and graphs and nitpicking over a few pixels a bit more than the actual research that I was doing. I’ve always been interested in graphical work, but for a long time it had to take a back seat to science. Now I am pursuing the desire to combine two of my favorite things, graphical work and science. And to do this preferably in a way that not only fits me, but also contributes to society in a meaningful way. If you happen to have any relevant suggestions, don’t hesitate to contact me!
Thanks to my scientific background, I’ve been trained to analyse a problem or question, and to figure out what is necessary to obtain a result. This is applicable not just to a scientific problem, but also to a design problem. Because I’m eager to learn and have a large capacity for learning, I quickly master the necessary knowledge. Making use of my good IT skills I put this knowledge into practice: I have experience with a number of different programming languages and graphical software. Conscientious at heart and with a good eye for detail, I strive to achieve a high-quality result. And I always combine a strong sense for structure with a love for the playful and creative!
