A collection of line graphs I made for my PhD thesis over the course of several years. Care was taken to include all of the relevant information in a readable, and in the case of multiple data sets, homogeneous way. Different line styles are used to ensure that all lines can be easily recognized also when printed in black & white (as is common in scientific journals) and by colorblind people. The colors are chosen in such a way that their lightness is approximately the same, so that the lines are perceived as equally important.
